January 18, 2017 – Emmanuel Di Donna is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jennifer Field to the position of Director of Exhibitions and Head of Research at Di Donna Galleries. In collaboration with Di Donna, Field will curate the gallery’s well-established exhibitions and publications program focused on exceptional works by Surrealist, modern and post-war artists; and she will lead art historical research conducted on artworks handled by the gallery for exhibitions, art fairs and private transactions.

The depth of Jennifer’s knowledge of and passion for 20th century art will be a significant asset to the gallery and our clients.”
Jennifer Field joins Di Donna Galleries with more than 20 years’ experience in the art world including positions held at Sotheby’s, The Museum of Modern Art, and most recently The Willem de Kooning Foundation. Throughout her career, Field has regularly contributed to arts publications, lectured on modern art topics, and curated independent group shows. At MoMA, she helped to organize the exhibition De Kooning: A Retrospective as well as exhibitions on Paul Cézanne and Camille Pissarro, Vincent van Gogh, and Martin Puryear. She earned her Ph.D. in the history of art at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
